Dunblane, Stirlingshire, Scotland
And here a view of Dunblane. There were some of the Stewarts of Balquhidder in these parts I am told. As a Group, you know the specifics far better than me although even I have found a handful in my own tree. The Cathedral remains the heart of the city. The tower dates from the 11th century but it has been variously been built, destroyed, and rebuilt so different parts of the Cathedral are from different eras. It has however been there for many centuries. The other building photographed now houses Dunblane Museum. While it is a city, Dunblane could be described as a small town. It has one shopping street! There is plenty of history in and around it though. Please don’t get the impression it’s blue skies every day….
