MacGregor Monument, Lanrick, Perthshire, Scotland
This is the MacGregor monument at Lanrick on the south side of the Teith. You can see the size of it as Ailsa Gray is in the photo. The MacGregor monument was probably built in the late 18th or early 19th century, honouring Clan MacGregor. It was a MacGregor who owned Lanrick after the Haldanes. Like much of Scotland’s heritage, this monument probably needs looking after a little better. It is tired, covered in moss and not loved. It was hard enough finding it today (with the map which was sat in the car!). Find it we did however.
