Ancient St. Fillan’s Chapel by Doune Castle
Al and l wandered along to the Ancient Chapel at St Fillans on the banks of the River Teith today and got these photos. (I did not make him swim across). As mentioned previously (when Ailsa Gray got the shots from the other side of the river a few weeks ago) the present chapel was built in 1876 and acted as a mausoleum for the Campbell family of Inverardoch, but one wall of the original chapel which dated prior to 16th century (?) was re-used. You can see this clearly in the photo.
