It’s been a busy afternoon. While looking for bugs, we found Innerpeffray Castle on the banks of the River Earn. We also visited the site of Innerpeffray Chapel and Inverpeffray library established in 1680 as the first free lending library in Scotland. Innerpeffray Castle was a Castle built in the 15th century for the Drummond family. I am not sure whether there are any Stewart links to this location or not but it is pretty spectacular and lies in the middle of a field. I have black and whited some of the photos, as a few were taken in darkness so needed more editing and exposure than normal. The Historic Scotland link below is worth a read to get a sense of how the Castle was laid out, noting I got a photo of one of the vaulted ceilings.http://data.historic-scotland.gov.uk/pls/htmldb/f?p=2920:15:0::NO::CASTLE:3397
